Benefits of organic food! :)

          Even though we can have an idea about the benefits of eating organic food we don´t specifically know them. There are also myths about the real positive effects concerning this kind of food, but hopefully now I will clarify some of your doubts. I leave you a list of benefits for our physical health that are related with the organic food.

Organic food particularly contains more beneficial nutrients: It has been found that this type of food has more of antioxidants that prohibit the oxidation of other molecules in our body. Also it is also studied the possibilities of antioxidants preventing the risk of cancer and heart diseases.

People eating organic food have a better immune system due to the minerals as Zinc and Iron and also because it does not contain pesticides that damage our health.

When you consume this type of food, usually your sleeping habits change in a positive way adding the fact that is less probably that you would be overweight rather than eating conventional food.

We can enjoy much more our food because it taste better!. Usually we buy this food and eat it in a short period of time because it does not contain preservatives, for the same reason it is fresher and tastier. Also nowadays much food is manipulated to look bigger and look good but if you compare them with organic food you will notice the difference.

Other benefit that is not directly relate with us but with the environment is that organic food is usually friendlier with the place that we live. Why? Because conventional methods of raising food contaminate the soil and water with the pesticides they use. On the contrary organic food does not need those chemicals, the practices they use do not damage the animals or people who live near to them and it wastes less energy.

Finally organic food is friendly with animals too. The practices used to raise animals are much more respectful, because the animals are given more space to move around and access to the outdoors, both of which help to keep the animals healthy and also they do not use antibiotics or growth hormones.

Do we really know what organic food is?



Hello there! 
Let me ask you something, do you know what organic food is?

First I have to tell you that a healthier life has a big  relation to the way we eat and what we eat. Organic food depends on the process in which agricultural products are grown and raised. Also there are some specific requests that products have to maintain in order to be called organic. Organic foods are produced by organic farming. This type of farming mostly tries to promote the ecological balance and conserve biodiversity. Organic crops must be grown in safe soil and have no modifications. Farmers are not allowed to use synthetic pesticides, bioengineered genes (GMOs) or petroleum based fertilizers. Also, there is organic meat too, it refers to livestock that must have access to the outdoors, this means that livestock must graze on pasture for at least four months a year, while chickens must have freedom of movement, fresh air, direct sunlight and access to the outside thus livestock must eat only organic food. They do not have to receive antibiotics, hormones or anything similar.
